Practice Profile

Christopher (Chris) completed his pupillage at New Court and has been a member of Chambers since. Chris receives instructions mainly in public law children work, often, but not exclusively, from Local Authorities and Guardians.

Chris works in all levels of court, from the FPC through to the Court of Appeal. His work has ranged from Children Act proceedings through to adoption, wardship, emergency inherent jurisdiction matters and Judicial Review. Having gained a wide experience, Chris has a particular interest in cases involving serious findings of physical and/or other abuse.

Chris is a Pupil Supervisor and a member of Chambers' Pupillage Committee.

Chris is also interested in wider education matters. He is a trained advocacy trainer and sits on the University Liaison Committee at Lincoln's Inn. Chris delivers seminary and training in Chambers and to groups of social workers and social work university students.

Outside work Chris particularly enjoys a day at a test match or a day at Anfield. Chris remains an optimistic Liverpool FC fan.
